TENNESSEE ABDUCTION: Nursing Student Holly Bobo Taken Outside Her Home

Holly Bobo (missing)

Investigators say Holly Bobo, 20, was abducted from her home in Parsons, TN last week, and she hasn’t been seen since.  Hundreds of volunteers from her community joined forces with police over the weekend to comb the wooded areas and roadways throughout her town.  Authorities say Holly was outside her house on Swan Johnson Road April 13, between 7:40 – 8 a.m. when an unknown man approached her.  Holly’s brother told police the suspect looked similar to her boyfriend from behind and he was not worried until he walked outside and noticed blood.  That’s when he contacted police.  Authorities say Holly’s brother and boyfriend are not suspects.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations confirms they found Holly’s lunch bag a few miles away from where she went missing.  Sunday, TBI announced they want the community to take notice of anyone who’s whereabouts were unaccounted for Wednesday morning and also to pay attention to changes in behavior since last week.  It’s also possible the suspect may have missed appointments or canceled them unexpectedly.  Police say he may also have cleaned, sold or reported his car or ATV stolen.

SEARCH RESUMES TODAY ON SAUVIE ISLAND FOR KYRON HORMAN

Kyron Horman Missing
Kyron Horman Missing

The search for Kyron Horman was back on today as dozens of professional searchers and volunteers combed Sauvie Island for the child.  This is a place investigators focused on for weeks after he went missing on June 4.

Desiree Young spoke out yesterday at the Kyron Horman Wall of Hope begging the public to raise the reward to find her son.  Terri feels that her son is being held against his will and a boost in reward funds may prompt the right person to call with information.  Currently the reward sits at $50,000.

More fundraisers are underway to help find Kyron and add to that reward. On October 9 and 10, 50 percent of all nursery sales at the Sleepy Ridge Farms in Mulino will go toward the Kyron Horman Foundation fund. Kyron was last seen by his step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman at the Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon. Although no suspects or persons of interest have been named in the case have been announced, Kyron’s step-mother Terri Horman continues to be in the spotlight. She was the last person to see Kyron that morning.

Remembering Sarah Foxwell - Thomas Leggs, Jr.

Remembering Sarah Foxwell - Thomas Leggs, Jr.

The Sarah Foxwell case came to a tragic end on Christmas morning, just a couple weeks ago.  The 11-year-old child was taken out of her bedroom she shared with her 6-year-old sister in the middle of the night allegedly by a convicted sex offender, Thomas Leggs.  Police say Leggs knew the family, because he dated Sarah’s aunt, who is also her legal guardian.  Police believe Sarah was snatched around 1 a.m. on December 22, 2009.  Sarah’s 6-year-old sister told police she woke up to “Mr. Tommy” in their bedroom talking to Sarah. Investigators were called at 10:02 a.m. and based on the information they compiled, police were able to arrest Leggs and charge him with abduction and burglary within two hours.  Sarah’s aunt told investigators that she had not seen Leggs since 32 days before the abduction. On Christmas morning, thousands of volunteers including parents and children gave up opening gifts to search for Sarah. Sheriff Lewis of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s office told me that one little boy even emptied his piggy bank, put it in a baggie and handed it to the Sheriff to donate it to the fund to find the child.
Sadly, Sarah’s body was found on the Maryland-Delaware line later that day.  Her autopsy is complete, and the Sheriff told me Sarah has many causes of death all relating back to homicide, but he is not ready to release any more details about the struggle the child went through.  Leggs is not only a sex offender in two states, Maryland and Delaware, but he is also facing charges out of Ocean City, Maryland from an incident stemming from September 11, 2009 where police say a woman woke up in the middle of the night to a naked Leggs standing at the end of her bed masturbating.  If Leggs is in fact guilty and responsible for Sarah’s death, and Sheriff Lewis thinks he is, there is an obvious escalation in sexual attacks from the alleged September 11, 2009 incident to the time when Sarah was abducted, either before or in between police fear there may be other victims who may not have come forward.
