The U.S. Marshals closed in on one murder suspect allegedly involved in killing a “Trax Food” employee last month. Now, Philadelphia Police say they are in search of a second suspect. Investigators say Marvelle Hargrove, 17, is also allegedly involved in the murder.
Authorities say on May 26, 2011, two suspects entered the ”Trax Food” store at 2:50 a.m. demanding money from a cashier. The video shows one of the suspects beating the victim with a shotgun while the other suspect opened the cash register. Authorities say the victim was able to get away and as he was running, the first suspect shot and killed the cashier.
On June 9, 2011, Marshals closed in on Quasheam Richburg around 8 a.m.

John McCluskey (new photos released by U.S. Marshals)
UPDATE:Authorities closed in on the couple late yesterday in Springerville, Arizona near the Mexico border. They were found at a campsite when a ranger came across the couple in the woods. McCluskey and Welsh were armed, but didn’t have a chance to use their weapons.
U.S. Marshals are still on the hunt for a dangerous prison escapee and his fiancée, who is also his first cousin. Investigators are aggressively tracking John McCluskey, 45, and Casslyn Welsh, 44, as tips pour in from across the country with sightings of the couple. When I spoke to Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Rich Tracey, he wanted the public to know the U.S. Marshals have the ability to follow up with leads anywhere in the country very quickly, and alerts have been sent out to the borders as well. Tracey adds, “These folks are leaving devastation in their wake, it’s time for this to come to a close.”
Casslyn Welsh (new U.S. Marshal photo)
The Marshals released new information this week on the duo saying McCluskey is missing his left incisor tooth and Welsh is missing most of her right index finger. Welsh is a smoker, and it is very obvious when she is holding cigarettes because she is right handed. The last known sighting of the couple was August 6 in Billings, Montana.
The case began on July 30 when McCluskey, Tracy Province, 42, and Daniel Renwick, 36, broke out of a medium-security facility in Arizona. Authorities say McCluskey’s fiancée Casslyn Welsh tossed tools over the security fence to make the break out a breeze. An official who is affiliated with the facility told me the escapees made their exit by cutting a hole through a fence and helping each other along. Authorities captured Renwick only two days after the breakout when he allegedly shot at police in Colorado.
CAPTURE: U.S. Marshals say they captured the three inmates on the run in Miami, Florida. Investigators are looking into two robberies and the disappearance of a Florida State University graduate student while the suspects were on the loose.
BACKGROUND: It’s been two weeks since three dangerous convicts escaped in Alexandria, Louisiana. Since the break out investigators say the suspects have left a trail of crime leading to Florida (detailed list below). U.S. Marshals say the inmates drummed up an elaborate plan to break out of the Avoyelles Parish jail on March 30, 2010. One of the inmates, Quentin M. Truehill, made a handmade knife and allegedly held it to the throat of a correctional officer, threatening to kill him if he didn’t open the door. Another officer was witnessing the attack tried to help, but couldn’t and was cut on the hand. The inmates escaped on foot, and the local sheriff believes they were picked up by an accomplice in a nearby parking lot. Authorities have been working around the clock to locate the criminals.

It’s been 60 days today since Aja Johnson was abducted and her mother Tonya was found beaten to death inside an RV. Since then, investigators in Oklahoma have issued a warrant for Lester Hobbs arrest charging him with first degree murder and kidnapping. I spoke with Deputy U.S. Marshal Arthur Templeton out of the Lawton office again today, and he said there has been no activity on the case. A couple of weeks ago he stated that they have, “not had anything viable on the vehicle, Aja Johnson, or Lester Hobbs,” and sadly that is still the case today. Templteton did mention that he has a meeting with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigations later today, and they have plans to discuss new ideas to keep this case in the spotlight.
When this case originally broke, there was a massive ice storm that swept through most of the state of Oklahoma. The storm paralyzed the region for 8 – 14 days. During that period, many folks were without power, so some have not even heard about the Amber Alert or the murder. That ice storm is long gone, and there are still no signs of this child.
