Fundraisers are underway to help find missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman. On September 1, 2010 supporters are asking folks to dine at Godfather’s Pizza. A quarter of the proceeds that day will go to the search to help find Kyron. In addition, organizers are looking for any businesses or private persons to donate plain white t-shirts. They have a printer, and will print information about Kyron on the shirts for free.
Kyron has been missing for almost three months. He was last seen on June 4 with his step-mother, Terri Moulton-Horman, at his elementary school in Portland, Oregon.
A brand new website Bring Kyron Homehas launched to help find missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman. The goal is to continue to raise awareness of the case, spread the word, download and distribute fliers in various languages and report strange or suspicious activity. Kyron went missing on June 4, 2010 in Portland, Oregon. He was last seen at the Skyline Elementary school where he attended a morning science fair with his step-mother, Terri Moulton Horman.
The case has had many bizarre twists and turns since then, but to date investigators have not named a suspect or person of interest. A grand jury has been behind doors for weeks hearing testimony and information from people who knew Terri, or who may have information about Kyron. Investigators told me they’ve received thousands of leads in this case, but none have led them to Kyron.
If you have any information, please contact the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Tipline: (503) 261-2847
For the first time in five weeks the public is beginning to have a little insight into the Kyron Horman case and his step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman. Investigators say Terri may have been the last person to see her step-son before he vanished on June 4, 2010 from Skyline Elementary school in Portland, Oregon.
Yesterday a judge released the sealed restraining order that Kaine Horman sought against his wife Terri. In his own words and handwriting Kaine Horman wrote, “I believe respondent (Terri Moulton-Horman) is involved in the disappearance of my son Kyron who has been missing since June 4, 2010. I also recently learned that respondent attempted to hire someone to murder me. The police have provided me with probable cause to believe the above two statements to be true.” The key phrase in the order is “police have provided me with probable cause.” This is important to the public in this case because it gives everyone an idea as to where investigators may possibly stand. For weeks authorities have said that Terri is not a suspect and/or person of interest in this case, and although that may appear to be the case, there seems to be enough evidence that a judge would restrict Terri from coming into contact with her own 19-month-old child. Yesterday Kaine asked the judge to amend the petition to allow himself and his daughter back in their home. Kaine wants Terri removed so Kiara and Kyron can come back to their house and not feel any kind of disconnect.
The fourth of July holiday was anything but peaceful and relaxing for Desiree Young and Kaine Horman as they waited to find out if their missing son would be brought home. Their son Kyron, 7, went missing on June 4, 2010 from his elementary school in Portland, Oregon and hasn’t been seen since. Over the last four weeks, the case has had many bizarre twists and turns including divorce papers and a restraining order filed against Kyron’s step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman. Terri was the last person who may have seen Kyron before he vanished. Investigators say they were inside his elementary school before classes for a science fair, and Terri claims she said goodbye to Kyron and watched him walk off before she left. On July 1, 2010, Desiree spoke out to the public and said, “We implore Terri Horman to fully cooperate with investigators to bring Kyron home.”
In a shocking twist in the Kyron Horman case, Kyron’s father Kaine filed for divorce from his wife Terri Moulton-Horman. Investigators say Terri may have been the last person to see Kyron before he vanished on June 4, 2010. I have the paperwork from the Multnomah County Circuit Court, and along with filing the petition for dissolution of marriage, Kaine also filed a restraining order against his wife. The ex parte motion is sealed and we do not know what evidence was brought forward to restrict Terri from seeing her child and husband, but in most cases restraining orders are not granted unless there is a threat presented to the parties seeking protection. In the divorce petition, Kaine sites the reason for the divorce asirreconcilable differences, and he is seeking full custody of the 18-month-old daughter he has with Terri. The paperwork states Kaine and Terri were married on April 15, 2007 in Hawaii, and he is seeking child support for their child.
Just prior to Terri being served the official paperwork, Kyron’s biological mother, father and step-father jointly issued a statement:
