More than 4,000 leads have poured in to help investigators with the search for Kyron Horman. This week, Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton said he will brief commissioners and the public on this case.
Kyron went missing from his Skyline elementary school on June 4, 2010 in Portland, Ore. while attending a science fair with his step-mother, Terri Horman. Authorities said they have identified all 490 persons and all 54 vehicles at the school that day, but they are no closer to solving this mystery. Since Kyron’s disappearance, dozens of searches and fundraisers have been held to raise money and awareness for the 7-year-old. No persons of interest or suspects have been named, but Terri Horman continues to be in the spotlight. Terri and Kyron’s father, Kane, are currently going through a divorce.
Desiree Young, Kyron’s mother, set out over the weekend to put pressure on Terri’s neighbors. She passed out fliers in Roseburg, Ore. about 200 miles away from where Kyron was last seen. Roseburg is also the new home and neighborhood of Terri Horman. Desiree wants Terri’s neighbors to know that she lives there and doesn’t want the public to forget about her son.
The search for Kyron Horman was back on today as dozens of professional searchers and volunteers combed Sauvie Island for the child. This is a place investigators focused on for weeks after he went missing on June 4.
Desiree Young spoke out yesterday at the Kyron Horman Wall of Hope begging the public to raise the reward to find her son. Terri feels that her son is being held against his will and a boost in reward funds may prompt the right person to call with information. Currently the reward sits at $50,000.
More fundraisers are underway to help find Kyron and add to that reward. On October 9 and 10, 50 percent of all nursery sales at the Sleepy Ridge Farms in Mulino will go toward the Kyron Horman Foundation fund. Kyron was last seen by his step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman at the Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon. Although no suspects or persons of interest have been named in the case have been announced, Kyron’s step-mother Terri Horman continues to be in the spotlight. She was the last person to see Kyron that morning.

Tomorrow will mark the six week anniversary since Kyron Horman went missing, and every single day there is a new development. Usually when a child goes missing, within a week or two the case falls out of the spotlight, but this family’s personal and bizarre life has kept this case alive and the public wanting more. Over the last couple of days investigators in Portland have been seen searching on the ground for clues and re-interviewing witnesses at the school from where the 7-year-old went missing. Desiree Young, Kyron’s mother, spoke out and said she thinks her son’s disappearance was planned and executed by his step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman.
The fourth of July holiday was anything but peaceful and relaxing for Desiree Young and Kaine Horman as they waited to find out if their missing son would be brought home. Their son Kyron, 7, went missing on June 4, 2010 from his elementary school in Portland, Oregon and hasn’t been seen since. Over the last four weeks, the case has had many bizarre twists and turns including divorce papers and a restraining order filed against Kyron’s step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman. Terri was the last person who may have seen Kyron before he vanished. Investigators say they were inside his elementary school before classes for a science fair, and Terri claims she said goodbye to Kyron and watched him walk off before she left. On July 1, 2010, Desiree spoke out to the public and said, “We implore Terri Horman to fully cooperate with investigators to bring Kyron home.”
