Karen Swift, a mother of four vanished the day before Halloween.  Dyer County Sheriff Box said Karen picked up her daughter from a Halloween party around 1:30 a.m. and took her home.  Sometime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Karen vanished from her house without a trace.  Her vehicle was found not far away from where she went missing, and her front tire was flat.  Sheriff Box says his team is still investigating how the tire on the SUV went flat, meaning if it was an accident or intentional.

Last weekend, Sheriff Box says a tip led them to an outside area, not far from Karen’s house where they made a body discovery.  On December 12, investigators confirm that the body they found is Karen’s and that they are now shifting this case to a homicide investigation.  Her cause of death has not been released and she was identified through dental records.

“We could never thank everyone enough for all the kindness shown to our family during this difficult time,” the family said in a written statement to the media. “Thanks for your search efforts, donations and especially your prayers for Holly and our family.

“I know everyone’s daily life, routines and work must go on, but ours never will until Holly is back with us. Please continue to pray for Holly’s safe return, keep your eyes and ears open and search your own property. Please pray for Holly’s strength and everyone who is still searching for our precious Holly.”

Investigators say Holly Bobo, 20, was abducted from her home in Parsons, TN last week, and she hasn’t been seen since.  Hundreds of volunteers from her community joined forces with police over the weekend to comb the wooded areas and roadways throughout her town.  Authorities say Holly was outside her house on Swan Johnson Road April 13, between 7:40 – 8 a.m. when an unknown man approached her.  Holly’s brother told police the suspect looked similar to her boyfriend from behind and he was not worried until he walked outside and noticed blood.  That’s when he contacted police.  Authorities say Holly’s brother and boyfriend are not suspects.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations confirms they found Holly’s lunch bag a few miles away from where she went missing.  Sunday, TBI announced they want the community to take notice of anyone who’s whereabouts were unaccounted for Wednesday morning and also to pay attention to changes in behavior since last week.  It’s also possible the suspect may have missed appointments or canceled them unexpectedly.  Police say he may also have cleaned, sold or reported his car or ATV stolen.

MISSING CHILD: Tabitha Tuders

Tabitha Tuders MISSING
Tabitha Tuders

It’s been nearly seven years since Tabitha Tuders was last seen. It was April 29, 2003 in Nashville, Tennessee around 7 a.m. when Tabitha disappeared as she walked to her bus stop.  A witness came forward and said they saw the child getting into a red vehicle, but police do not have any evidence to confirm this sighting.  Since then search teams were brought in, volunteers scoured the area, and dozens of tips have fizzled out.  All of Tabitha’s personal items have been accounted for, and it doesn’t appear to be a runaway situation.  Police and Tabitha’s family fear she is great danger.  Although it’s been many years, there’s still hope if Jaycee Dugard can be found alive 18 years later.  If you have any information on Tabitha’s case, please call:
