Margo Jordan Missing

Margo Jordan Missing

Margo Lynn Jordan is a mother and a grandmother. She was reported missing by her parents on April 24 and hasn’t been seen since. I spoke with Lt. Carl Minden from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.  He says Margo was living with her boyfriend and his sister when she disappeared. She showed up for a work program at their jail on April 20 and was last seen by her family four days later.

There is a $10,000 reward put up by her family for information on her case. Lt. Minden says, “We’ve been looking at this for a month now, and the leads are starting to dry up. There’s not a whole lot left to go on right now and we are hoping to get more tips out of it.”

Shawn Isaacs, Margo’s boyfriend, is considered a possible person of interest in this case, but investigators say they are working and exploring other angles as well. “If you decided tomorrow that you don’t want to talk to anybody, there’s nothing I can do about it,” says Minden, but he feels there’s enough suspiciousness surrounding the case suggest something else may have happened to Margo.

THE SEARCH CONTINUES FOR MISSING MOM SUSAN POWELL

Susan Powell - missing (Hardman photography)

Over the weekend, dozens of searchers descended on the area where missing mom Susan Powell’s husband says he went camping the night she disappeared.  Josh Powell is officially named a “person of interest” in this case, but investigators have not moved forward with any official charges.  When Susan went missing on December 7, 2009, Josh told investigators he took his two small children out in the middle of the night in the West Desert. Since then many searches have been executed, but unfortunately nothing has been uncovered.  Since the warm weather broke in the spring, many bodies have been discovered throughout the area where Susan went missing. None of the bodies have been Susan.

As for Susan’s family, they aren’t going to let the public forget their loved one. A billboard for the missing mom is now standing tall along route 161 in Washington State.  Susan’s parents, Chuck and Judy Cox, want to put their daughter back in the hearts of everyone with hopes of drumming up new leads.  This billboard is near the Cox’s home in Puyallup, Washington, the same place Josh Powell moved with their two small children not long after Susan went missing.  The Cox family has plans to put another billboard up in the Salt Lake City area this week.

QUESTIONNAIRES TURNED IN TO FIND KYRON HORMAN

Kyron Horman Missing

Kyron Horman Missing

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office collected questionnaires from parents, students and staff of Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon last night.  The information is geared towards hopefully uncovering new leads that will help find missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman.  Investigators passed out the forms on Friday afternoon and requested the information back at the end of the weekend.  Kyron disappeared on June 4, 2010 after his step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman dropped him off at his school after a morning science fair.  A person of interest and suspect has not been named in this case.

Sgt. Travis Gullberg of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office told me late last night that he couldn’t confirm an exact number, but at least 100 cars stopped at the site prior to 7 p.m. to drop off their information.  “Some cars had one person, and some had multiple families.  It is safe to say we collected over 100,” Gullberg said.  It will take a while to filter through all of the information. The flier shows pictures of Kyron, two close up photos of Kyron’s step-mother Terri Horman, and the Ford F-250 white truck she was driving the day the child went missing.  Hopefully the questions will help to jog memories.  Sgt. Gullberg says, “I’ve been in the sheriff’s office for 12 years and this is the largest search effort I’ve ever seen… I’ve never experienced anything like this in my career.”

NEWS CONFERENCE PLANNED, MORE ARRESTS IN STATE TROOPERS DEATH

Remembering Trooper Wesley Brown

Remembering Trooper Wesley Brown

A Maryland State Police Trooper was shot and killed Friday morning as he worked part-time, and over the weekend investigators arrested a person of interest in the case.  Authorities also announced a news conference planned for today at 2 p.m. EST.  This is where we will learn more about the shooter, and more arrests made.  Investigators say Trooper Wesley Brown was working off-duty at an Applebee’s in Forestville, Maryland when he was shot multiple times as he stepped outside to make a call.

There is a possibility Trooper Brown may have been killed by a customer who he had to escort out earlier in the night. Investigators have released video of the person of interest, and that person may be charged with his murder.  At this point he has not been publicly identified.  Authorities say Trooper Brown was talking on his cell phone at the time of the incident, and may not have seen the suspect approaching. Cadets were pulled from the Maryland State Police academy and are on the ground right now performing a grid search.  They are set to be there throughout the day, and possibly the weekend.

Jarred Harrell, a person of interest in the Somer Thompson murder, was extradited over night from Mississippi to Florida.  He is expected to make his first court appearance this morning to face charges of child pornography. Last Thursday, Florida Governor, Charlie Crist requested the extradition, and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour granted the request.  According to a press release from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, “Because the safety of all law enforcement officers involved and the successful extradition of this individual are of upmost importance, our agency will not reveal the exact date and time of the planned extradition.  In addition, if members of the media are able to obtain Harrell extradition timeline information from sources other than the CCSO, our agency will not respond to those related inquiries and will neither confirm nor deny the information.  Our agency will not divulge what law enforcement officers are part of the Harrell extradition process until after the process is complete. Once Jarred Harrell is safely transported to our jail facility here in Green Cove Springs, the media will be notified via an emailed release.  You will be provided ample notice post-arrival so that coverage arrangements can be made with the Clay County Clerk of Court for whatever court appearances may follow in the Clay County court system.  Our agency does not orchestrate “perp walks” of any kind and we have an enclosed sally port area through which defendants enter the jail.” Although we do not know the specific date Harrell will make an appearance in Florida, thankfully investigators are one step closer to possibly learning what happened to Somer.   Harrell has not yet been charged with Somer’s death.

Clay County Sheriff Rick Besseler named a ‘person of interest’ tonight in the Somer Thompson case.  The Sheriff says Jarred Mitchell Harrell, 24, was arrested in Meridian, Mississippi, and is currently being held on a $1 million bail.  Harrell is not only a person of interest in the horrific abduction and murder of 7-year-old Somer Thompson, but he is also charged with 29 counts of child pornography.  Harold formerly resided in the neighborhood where Somer was abducted last fall as she walked home from school.

POLICE CONFIRM: Human remains found, are those of missing lottery winner

Abraham Shakespeare (lottery winner)

Abraham Shakespeare (lottery winner)

Police say they’ve found human remains inside the home of Dorice Donegan’s boyfriend, and now they confirm those remains are in fact missing lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare.  The body was found in Plant City, FL buried under concrete. Investigator Wood with the Polk County Sheriff’s office told me a few weeks ago they named Dorice Donegan “Dee Dee” Moore of Florida an official person of interest in this case, but she has not been charged. A tip lead them to the area of where her current boyfriend lives.  An official cause of death will be determined, and this case looks like it is shifting toward a murder investigation.

FAMILY OF 5 MURDERED

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Five people were found murdered in a small Buckhorn community just outside Bellville, Texas yesterday. Police told me earlier they have Maron Thomas, 20, in custody and at this point they believe he is the only one responsible for this horrendous crime. George Washington, 69, his wife, Debra Washington, 54, Kiana Shree Phearse, 25, and Khalilah Masse-Chamers, 3, were all found shot to death inside their home on a large estate property. Just behind the residence, investigators found a fifth victim who was identified today as Cedric Thomas, 19.

Maron Thomas was arrested before the bodies were found when he was allegedly naked breaking into a car, and attempting to break into a home at a nearby property. Capital murder charges may be brought down against Thomas after the District Attorney has a chance to review the preliminary report on this case.

I spoke with the homeowner of the home where the bodies were found. I was told the Washington’s have rented the home for about three years, they were a very kind family who always paid on time. Investigators believe all the victims are related, but are waiting on autopsy results to release the connection to one another.  At this time, Maron Thomas, pictured above, is the only person of interest.

PLAYBOY MODEL MURDER

Paula & Kevin

Paula & Kevin

Investigators are still putting the pieces together and working to figure out who would set Paula Sladewski on fire and throw her body in a trash dumpster. Cops say Paula’s body was “burned beyond recognition” and firefighters were called to put out the flames.  Was committed out of anger… passion… or just someone trying to destroy evidence?

Lt. Neal Cuevas with the North Miami Police department told me Paula’s boyfriend, Kevin Klym reported her missing at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2010.  Klym said he hadn’t seen his girlfriend since earlier that morning when he was kicked out of Club Space, a Miami nightclub open all night and all day.  Lt. Cuevas says Klym told them Paula was too drunk, and he wanted to leave, an argument erupted – and he was kicked out.  Investigators confirmed to me that they know for sure Klym left the club in a taxi, and went back to the LaFlora Hotel on Collins Avenue where he and Paula were staying.  There is not video of Paula ever returning to the hotel.  One of the workers at the hotel told me they do not have surveillance video running at all at the hotel.
