“Forget Me Not” MORGAN HARRINGTON UNSOLVED MURDER

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Police sketch

Police sketch

Morgan Harrington was only 20-years-old when she vanished from a concert outside the John Paul Jones arena in Charlottesville, VA. It was October 17, 2009 when she was separated from friends around 8:30 p.m.  They say she walked out of the front entrance of the Metallica concert. Authorities say Morgan called her friends inside and told them she was finding a ride home, and that they shouldn’t wait for her.

State police officials report Morgan was last seen by the ticket office on the University Hall side of the building and witnesses report seeing her hitchhicking close to the arena exit road.  An intese search of the area yielded no new clues until three months later.

In January 2010, tMorgan’s body was found on a farm in Albemarle County, Virginia. Investigators said her body could have been on the land as many as 100 days. Last summer, investigators released shocking information. They said the man who may have killed Morgan could be the same suspect that committed a sexual assault against another female in 2005. Virginia State Police officials confirm there is a forensic link between the 2005 assault and the murder.

TATTOOED CONFESSION LEADS TO MURDER CONVICTION

Saturday, April 23rd, 2011
Anthony Garcia (mugshot)

Anthony Garcia (mugshot)

A tattoo displaying a detailed murder scene led one L.A. County Sheriff detective to the jail cell of the suspect.  It is common practice for Investigator Kevin Lloyd to review photos of tattooed gang members and when Anthony Garcia’s chest came across his desk, the scene caught the veteran detectives eye.

Investigator Lloyd made the discovery in 2008 after Garcia’s photo was snapped for a minor traffic violation.  Lloyd is familiar with the scene on his skin because it was one of his patrol areas and the cold case was always lingering on his mind.  John Jaurez, 23, was gunned down in 2004 and the entire crime scene is mapped out on Garcia’s chest – even down to the Christmas lights hanging outside.

With all the stars aligning and stellar detective work, justice is brought to the table for another innocent victim.

YOGA STORE MURDER ARREST: Co-Worker Arrested For Brutal Killing

Friday, March 18th, 2011

(This is YouTube video of the murder victim, Jayna Murray, 30, bungee jumping on her 30th birthday in December 2010)

UPDATE:  A surprising twist in a horrific crime at the Lululemon Athletica in Bethesda, Md.  Police have arrested the victim’s co-worker, Brittany Norwood, 27, for the brutal murder of Jayna Murray.  Investigators said Norwood originally claimed to be a victim herself, telling authorities that she and her deceased co-worker were attacked and sexually assaulted by two unknown men.  Over the last seven days, police found several holes in her story and eventually the evidence against Norwood stacked up to an arrest on Friday.  Norwood is expected to have her first court appearance Saturday in a Montgomery County courtroom.  Tonight, the Bethesda community will rest peacefully, but will continue to mourn the loss of a beautiful soul.

On March 11, 2001, two employees were closing up at a Yoga store in downtown Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Md. Police said the women left the “Lululemon Athletica” store at 9 p.m. and returned at 10:05 p.m. when they realized they had left items behind. At some point when the women re-entered the store, two masked men followed in behind them and brutally attacked the victims.

Just before the New Year, on Dec. 30, police say Kejuan Charde Hall was attacked and stabbed on the job.  Kejuan had just turned 25 on Christmas Eve and was eight weeks pregnant when she died.  Friends say she was looking forward to New Year’s Eve to share her pregnancy news with her family.

Investigators say Kejuan was working at the Golden Pantry Shell station in Athens, Ga. when an unknown man wearing a dark knit cap came into her store, attacked and killed her.

At this point, the motive does not appear to be robbery because authorities say the only thing taken was the surveillance tape.  When the suspect is identified, found and arrested, he will be charged with a double homicide.

Kejuan leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter.

Athens-Clarke County police need your leads.   The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.  He may be in his late 20s or early 30s.  If you have any information, please call Crime stoppers:  (706) 613-3342

UPDATE: Murder Mystery Rocks Quaint Disney Town

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Celebration Disney

Celebration Disney

The town of Celebration in Florida resembles a quaint New England village, but there isn’t much to celebrate these days.  The community is the brainchild of the folks at Walt Disney World and is now home to more than 11,000 residents.  The citizens take pride in their community.  Along with patrols from the local sheriff’s department, the citizens also hire their own separate security to comb the streets of their hometown around the clock.

The community is close knit and neighbors know when things are out of the ordinary.  Things were definitely out of the ordinary last weekend.   Celebration resident Matteo Giovanditto, 58, hadn’t been seen for a few days, and his neighbors went to authorities to report him missing on Sunday.

By Monday, authorities were knocking on the door of his condo, but he didn’t answer.  Matteo’s black corvette wasn’t in the driveway, and it appeared he may have just left, but it wasn’t like him to leave and not tell anyone.

Father Murdered Outside His Son’s Pre-School, Police Continue To Hunt Killer

Rusty Sneiderman (left), Suspect Sketch (right)

Russell “Rusty” Sneiderman, 36, had just dropped his son Ian, 2, off at Dunwoody Prep.  It was the morning of November 18, 2010 around 9 a.m.  Rusty kissed Ian, and headed outside to his car, but unfortunately he never made it.  Dunwoody Police investigators say a man may have followed him to the school and was waiting outside.  As Rusty walked to his car, the suspect opened fire, killing Rusty in the parking lot.

I’ve spoken to the Dunwoody Police numerous times over the last couple of weeks.  At this point, the case is wide open, and they are still tracking down leads.  An investigator told me that he believes this was a calculated murder, Rusty was definitely targeted, and they are working to figure out why someone would want him dead.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a bearded man wearing dark clothing and a knit cap; they also mention that the beard may have been fake.  The killer didn’t say a word when he opened fire, shooting Rusty at point blank range, and then fled in a gray or silver late-model Dodge minivan with no license plates.
