A disturbing case continues to be on the hearts and minds of parents in Phoenix, Arizona. The FBI is on the hunt for a pediatrician who is accused of distributing child pornography. Dr. Emilio Luna, 40, was arrested in September when a federal grand jury brought down a five-count indictment against him.
According to the FBI’s website, “Dr. Luna, a Phoenix pediatrician, came to the attention of law enforcement when thousands of files from suspected child pornography were shared from his computer in a public peer-to-peer file sharing system. He was arrested on Wednesday, September 1 by federal agents. Following a detention hearing a few days later, he was released by order of the court, and is forbidden to have access to the Internet or children while under supervision of U.S. Pre-Trial Services.”
A few weeks after he was arrested agents say Luna cut off his ankle monitoring device and fled. He had permission to attend church services, and his car was found later that night abandoned in a Glendale, Arizona parking lot.

I received word from a source within the U.S. Marshals service last night that they finally caught up with Max Montijo-LaMadrid. He has been on the run for first degree murder of a teenager since 2001. Authorities believe Montijo-LaMadrid is the man responsible for shooting and killing Tanee Natividad. She was a 16-year-old Palo Verde High School student who was murdered in a fast food restaurant parking lot in Tucson, Arizona.
The Marshals say Montijo-LaMadrid was snagged and placed into custody by the Sonora State Investigative Police (PEI) in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. This is a capture they admit they’ve been planning for the last week and were finally able to execute yesterday. Right now the plan is to transport Montigjo-LaMadrid to Mexico City and that’s where he will await extradition back to the United States.
David P. Gonzales, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona, stated that “the arrest of Montijo-LaMadrid was the direct result of the close working relationships developed with Mexican law enforcement officials and the U.S. Marshal Service.” Great job to all for finally bringing Tanee’s accused murderer to justice.
Investigators in America and Mexico are trying to figure out where the body of American tourist David Hartley could be. Authorities say David was allegedly shot and killed by Mexican Pirates on Lake Falcon when he and his wife Tiffany crossed over into Mexican territory. Tiffany says they were taking pictures and jet skiing together on the water when gunfire erupted and David was shot in the back of the head. Tiffany said she had to make a life or death split second decision after trying to save her husband when she realized he was too heavy to move and load onto her jet ski. Tiffany claims that as she was being fired upon, she had to race as fast as she could back to American waters. At least one identified witness has come forward and claims he saw Tiffany flying through the water on her jet ski as she was being chased by a boat of men.

A disturbing case is working out of Phoenix, Arizona where the FBI is on the hunt for a pediatrician who is accused of distributing child pornography. Dr. Emilio Luna, 40, was arrested earlier this month when a federal grand jury brought down a five-count indictment against him. According to the FBI’s website, “Dr. Luna, a Phoenix pediatrician, came to the attention of law enforcement when thousands of files from suspected child pornography were shared from his computer in a public peer-to-peer file sharing system. According to the FBI, a conviction for distributing child pornography carries a mandatory minimum of five years and a maximum of 20.
More than three months have passed since a family of four vanished in California, and authorities now think the McStay family may have planned a trip to Mexico before they disappeared. New information is coming out about a possible map found at a Baja, California restaurant that the family may have left behind after they officially went missing.
Joseph McStay, 40, his wife Summer, 43, Gianni, 4, and Joseph, 3, went missing on February 4, 2010. Authorities said they found e-mails from Joseph and Summer asking about passport information and entry into Mexico before February 4th, a clear indication that they may have planned their getaway. But the question is, why? It doesn’t appear the family had any financial or marital problems, Joseph left behind his teenage son, and their home was left in working order.

Family member Michael McStay told me earlier this week, “I am looking down every leg of this octopus.” On February 8, 2010 the family’s white Isuzu Trooper was found and towed from the Mexican border in San Ysidro. Michael told me he has video from his brother’s neighbor of the evening they left their home. “The car was backed into the driveway, and it was making a left out (of the driveway), you cannot see who is in it, they pulled out at 7:47 p.m., and his last phone call was 8:48 p.m., they could have been running out for food, they could have been running somewhere to pick up something from Craigslist. There is a possibility that we are looking for a crime scene, we just don’t know where it’s at.”
Investigators are working to locate a missing family of four. Authorities say Joseph McStay, 40, his wife Summer, 43, Gianni, 4, and Joseph, 3, vanished on February 4, 2010. Four days later, the families white Isuzu Trooper was found and towed from the Mexican border in San Ysidro. San Diego County police say they may have the McStay family on surveillance crossing the U.S. border into Mexico. The video is not clear enough to say for certain if it is the family, but according to police there are two adults and two children seen walking across the border around the same time the family vehicle was abandoned.
Unable to reach them, Michael McStay, Joseph’s brother, reported the family members missing to police 11 days after they went missing. Investigators dispatched to check on the family’s welfare, and found no signs of them. Their animals had been left in the yard without food or water, and it didn’t appear as if they had packed up and gone on a vacation. Investigators told me early on the family is going through a major renovation project, so it is hard to tell if they were packing up to leave or not.
