Semion Mogilevich

Semion Mogilevich

The FBI is on the hunt forSemion Mogilevich. They say this millionaire allegedly participated in his own multi-million dollar scheme to defraud investors. Mogilevich is charged with more than 40 counts of racketeering, wire fraud, prostitution, money laundering, and is on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted. Agents believe Mogilevich is responsible for dozens of other crimes across the world as well, and is known to be more powerful than John Gotti. Peter Kowenhoven, FBI Supervisory Special Agent says, “He has access to so much including funding, including other criminal organizations, that he can with a telephone call effect the global economy.”

There is a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. We know Russia is Mogilevich’s primary residence, but investigators say he is known to have ties to the United States and England. Mogilevich is also suspected of manipulating international energy markets as well. He was arrested in Russia, but was released on bail. Unfortunately, Russia does not have an extradition treaty with the United States.

DAYCARE FIRE: Four Children Killed, U.S. Marshals Launch International Manhunt To Locate Provider

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

JESS TATA

The U.S. Marshals are working to track down a daycare provider from Texas who fled to Nigeria.  Authorities say Jessica Renee Tata was operating a daycare center inside her Houston home when she left seven children, aged 18 months to 3 years, unattended to go shopping.  When Tata returned home, her house was on fire, and the toddlers were trapped inside, killing four.

Tata was not taken into custody or charged right away.  At some point over the weekend, authorities say she hopped on a flight out of the country.  Tata will face a total of seven counts of reckless injury to a child and three additional charges of child endangerment.

Court documents detail information about a video from a local Target store where Tata shopped for about 15 minutes before leaving for home.  Based on a timeline put together by officials, the first 911 call indicates Tata was gone from the daycare for at least 20 minutes on February 24.

Tata’s family established a fund called “Houston Benefit of Day Care Victims,” but the District Attorney urges the public to be careful about any and all solicitations.

Investigators Say Suspect Wanted For “Kidnapping” Is Also Possible “Person of Interest” In Child Murder

Friday, November 5th, 2010
Thomas Sanders (suspect)
Thomas Sanders (kidnapping suspect)

This case was originally brought to me a couple of weeks ago from one of my U.S. Marshal contacts.  Yesterday, the investigation advanced to new levels and now the FBI and U.S. Marshals are on the hunt for a man they believe kidnapped Lexis.

It all began on October 8, 2010 when hunters in Harrisonburg, Louisiana stumbled across what they believed to be human remains.  The men contacted the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office and an immediate investigation went underway.  Since then the FBI, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Postal Service, Office of Louisiana Attorney General and the LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services have all been on the case.

Just last week a big break came when the remains were positively identified as 12-year-old Lexis Kaye Roberts.  The FBI says she was last seen with her mom, Suellen Roberts and Thomas Sanders.  A source close to the investigation told me Suellen and her daughter went on a vacation over Labor Day weekend with Sanders.  The couple met when they were working at a storage facility in Las Vegas, and I am told that a significant amount of money was taken from the facility by Sanders to go on this trip.  Suellen told her mother if she didn’t return within a couple of weeks that something bad may have happened, and for her to call authorities.  It appears that something horrible has occured, and not only has Lexis’ body been found, but Suellen has not been seen.

Michigan State Police sketch

Update:  An arrest was made over night for a man believed to be responsible for stabbing 20 victims from Michigan to Virginia.  The suspect is currently being held in Atlanta on unrelated charges as investigators begin to put the case against him together… Stay tuned for more.

A nationwide manhunt is underway for a suspect who is targeting and stabbing men. Investigators believe the suspect has attacked victims in Michigan, Virginia, and now Ohio. Out of the 16 attacks in Flint, Michigan, five have died. In Leesburg, Virginia police say that on August 3, 5, and 6th, three more attacks occurred. Chris Jones with the Leesburg Police told me two victims were attacked with a knife and another with a hammer. Over the weekend, yet another man was attacked in Toledo, Ohio. All of the cases have strong similarities and now investigators are looking for a Chevy S-10 Blazer, four-door, dark green with light tan color trim on the bottom. The vehicle has two large dents near the hood and could be a 1995-2000 model.

MANHUNT TO FIND CONVICTED MUDRERERS ON THE RUN

Three dangerous convicted murderers escaped from a medium security prison on Friday in Arizona.  An official who is affiliated with the facility, and who wishes not to be identified, told me the escapees made their exit around 9 p.m. by cutting a hole through a fence.  Once out in the open, they allegedly hijacked an 18-wheeler and landed somewhere in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Investigators caught up with one of the suspects Sunday when an officer in Rifle, Colorado recognized the Chevrolet Blazer and attempted to pull it over.  Authorities said the driver, Daniel Renwick, 36, was behind the wheel and allegedly shot at the officer.  According to investigators, the officer rammed his vehicle and that’s when Renwick was apprehended, handcuffed and hauled away.  Renwick could face additional charges in Colorado before his extradition back to Arizona.

The other two escapees are still on the run and could be anywhere.  Authorities are asking the public for any information on the whereabouts of Tracy Province, 42, and John McCluskey, 45.  Province was serving a life sentence for murder, and McCluskey was serving 15 years for attempted murder.  Authorities believe they could be traveling with McCluskey’s fiancé, Casslyn Welch, 44, and they are armed and dangerous.

Eric Gilford (police photo)

UPDATE FROM THE VILLA PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT:

An arrest warrant has been issued for Eric A Gilford for the murder of his wife and unborn child. Eric is charged with (1) count of First Degree Murder and (1) count of Intentional Homicide of an Unborn Child. Bond was set today at $3,000,000.”

A manhunt is underway for an active-duty sailor who allegedly murdered his pregnant wife.  I spoke with Investigator Todd Kubish from the Villa Park Police Department this morning, and he confirms there is an active murder warrant to find Eric Gilford, 31, of Downers Grove.

Kubish says on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, Gilford tracked down his wife at another man’s home in Villa Park.  She was inside the apartment with her 4-year-old daughter, Gracie May.  The man was not home at the time.

An argument ensued, and Kubish says Gilford allegedly stabbed his wife repeatedly and fled the scene.  The child ran upstairs to get help for her mother, but by the time police arrived, Gilford was gone.

U.S. Marshals TOP 15 MOST WANTED

Arcade Comeaux Wanted

Arcade Comeaux Wanted

ARCADE JOSEPH COMEAUX -

U.S. Marshals Top 15 MOST WANTED

Arcade Joseph Comeaux is the most recent addition to the United States Marshals TOP 15 Most Wanted.  According to John F. Clark, Director of the U.S. Marshals Service says, ”Comeaux has deomonstrated a long history of incredibly violent behavior and complete disregard for the law… there is no question he will resort to his violent ways again so his arrest is a top priority for the Marshals.”

Arcade Joseph Comeaux was housed in the highest level of custody inside the Estelle Unit in Huntsville, Texas.  This means he did not have contact with other prisoners, and is secluded inside his cell 23 out of 24 hours a day, so the question is how did he get a gun?  That is exactly what investigators are trying to figure out as they piece together Comeaux’s daring escape and track down this dangerous criminal. Officials say Comeaux gained access to a pistol, held up two officers, and fled.

Celebration of Life

Makayla Sitton

Makayla Sitton

Makalya Sitton will be remembered today at a public “Celebration of Life” service from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Jupiter High School, 500 N. Military Trail in Juputer.  After today’s service, the family plans to have a private burial for their little girl.

Makalya’s life was taken on Thanksgiving evening when her cousin, alleged suspect Paul Merhige shot and killed her as she slept in her bed.  Four others were murdered that evening, including Merhige’s twin 33-year-old sisters, Lisa and Carla, Lisa’s unborn child, and and Makayla’s 76-year-old grandmother.  Two other family members were wounded, but thankfully will survive. Paul Merhige is still on the run.  Please see the post below for all the details surrounding this case.

 Family Statement:

In light of the tremendous outpouring of support from the community, the Sitton family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to two funds set up in Makayla Joy Sitton’s name. Jim and Muriel Sitton know that their precious daughter would want to make a difference in the lives of other little girls. She would want other children to be given the same access to the arts (music and ballet) that she enjoyed during her life.
