Investigators have issued a warrant for a man they believe has been slashing women since February.  Fairfax County Police say Johnny Guillen Pimentel, 40, has targeted at least nine women all in their early 20s.  The victims were slashed with a box cutter or razor and none were seriously injured.  For many months police have issued surveillance photos, hoping someone would recognize the suspect.

Investigators have not been able to establish a motive.  Investigators believe Pimentel is traveling in a 2003 Honda Civic, VA tags KLX2689.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge of Pimentel’s whereabouts to call the Fairfax County Police Department at 703-691-2131

Police in Xenia, Ohio are still searching for Tiffany Tehan who vanished over the weekend.  Yesterday, investigators released surveillance video photos of a mystery man with Tiffany two weeks ago.  That man has been identified as Tre B. Hutcherson, 42, who authorities say has also been missing for days.

Captain Scott Anger, of the Xenia Police, told me Tiffany’s family does not know who Tre B. Hutcherson is, and they have never met him.  Police say Hutcherson is known to drive a red Volkswagen Beetle, and sometimes a German Shepherd will travel with him in the front seat.

Police say Tiffany was supposed to attend a cookout around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 with her husband and friends.  Tiffany’s husband, David Tehan, called police around 9 p.m. when she didn’t come home.  Police say Tiffany left her home early Saturday morning to attend garage sales, and was expected to return around 2 p.m.  Tiffany was last seen at The Greene Shopping Center in Beavercreek around 11 a.m., and her Ford Explorer was found early Sunday morning at a state park off Stroop Road in Xenia.  The vehicle had a flat tire, and her keys were locked inside.  Tiffany’s dad, Chuck Tabor, told me, “This is one giant jigsaw puzzle, and every piece, every little piece

Investigators say two victims who were dismembered, tossed into trash bags, and left on a New Jersey street have been identified as Lazaro Calero, 49,  and Maria Torres. 48.

According to a press release from the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, “The dismembered bodies were discovered around 9:49 a.m. Monday by a Linden sanitation worker and a member of the Linden Police Department. They were called to the corner of Cranford Ave and Essex Avenue by a neighbor reporting illegally dumped trash. When the sanitation worker opened a bag, a severed body part was clearly visible, said Romankow.”

Maria and Lazaro’s last known address was 4th Street in Union City, New Jersey.  Their families were notified late Wednesday night.

As soon as I heard about this case, I immediately thought of a missing couple from New Jersey that vanished five years ago.  Although this case doesn’t have any ties to the couple, I still wonder where they could be.  Investigators said in 2008 it appeared the case may have been a “murder for hire,” but they haven’t had any additional information since. Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone were having drinks and heading back to Mt. Laurel in Richard’s truck. They vanished without a trace. You can learn more about the case at the family’s website.

Who murdered Rebecca Koster?

Rebecca Koster
Rebecca Koster

Investigators in two states are trying to figure out who killed Rebecca Koster and set her body on fire.  I spoke with authorities in Suffolk County New York this morning, and they say Rebecca was reported missing on December 4, 2009.  We know she was dropped off by her boyfriend at her home after going out.  I can tell you based on my conversation with the Butcher Bar & Grill, that Rebecca was there with her boyfriend and friends on the night of December 3, 2009.  Police say at some point when Rebecca was dropped off, something went terribly wrong.  Nearly three hours away, the fire department was called to a brush fire off Jeremy Hill Road in North Stonington, CT.  When a Connecticut State Trooper arrived on the scene, he found the body of dead woman, who had been set on fire.  The body was later identified to be Rebecca Koster.  Since that point, there are reports that Rebecca’s parents have received text messages from someone having her phone taunting them about their daughter.  Investigators need your help to find the person or persons responsible for her murder.  Please call:  (860) 848-6500

Anthony Sowell: MORE VICTIMS IDENTIFIED & UPDATED TIMELINE

Thursday, November 5th, 2009
Anthony Sowell, 50

Anthony Sowell, 50

Two more victims in the Anthony Sowell case have been identified.  Today, police released the identities of Telacia Fortson, 31, of East Cleveland, and Tishana Culver, 31, of the 12300 block of Imperial Avenue.  Both women were among the 11 bodies found inside this “house of horrors” where Anthony Sowell was living.

Investigators say Telacia was reported as a missing person on October 31, 2009, she was last seen in the area on or about June 1, 2009.  Cops say Tishana Culver was never reported as a missing person.  Yesterday, investigators identified the first victim, Tonia Carmichael, 52, who was initially reported missing in Warrensville Heights on November 10, 2008.

As we continue to make progress with the identifications, I want to assure the families of the missing that until they all get the closure they seek and ultimately the justice they deserve, this case will continue to be our focus.  On behalf of the City of Cleveland I offer my deepest condolences to the family, friends and relatives of victims,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson.
