I spoke with Ft. Hood public affairs late last night, and they say at this time there are 13 deaths, and 42 injuries total as a result of the November 5, 2009 shooting. Out of those 42 injured, 12 victims are still in the hospital, 11 are in regular rooms, and one person is still in ICU.
Investigators say U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a 39-year-old psychiatrist, is charged with 13 counts of pre-meditated murder, and the army says more charges could follow. President Obama is calling for a review of how U.S. intelligence agencies handled any information gathered about Hasan before the alleged attack. Investigators are actively, and meticulously coming through every fact involved in this case.
