Investigators say Shawn Morgan, 43, was arrested over the weekend and charged with first degree murder.  Authorities believe Morgan suffocated Breeann and disposed of her body.  According to the probable cause affidavit, Morgan admits that he discovered Breeann standing on his pool ladder, he carried her inside and suffocated her with a white bag.  “Morgan states he felt like it took an hour for the girl to die,” according to the court documents.  Once Breeann stopped breathing, Morgan admits he then threw her body into the floodway ditch.

At this point, the search to find Breeann is a recovery effort.  Investigators zoned in on Morgan’s home on Friday night and took him into custody Saturday.   Along with first degree murder, Dunklin County Prosecutor has also charged Morgan with armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence.   Morgan is held without bond and will appear in Circuit Court 9 a.m. Tuesday.  The hearing Tuesday will indicate whether he will employ his own council .

For now, the app can only be downloaded to iPhones from iTunes.  In the coming months the program will be available to all cell phones. For more information, please visit the FBI website.

NOTE FROM THE FBI: The FBI (and iTunes for that matter) is not collecting or storing any photos or information that you enter in the app. All data resides solely on your mobile device unless you need to send it to authorities. Please read your mobile provider’s terms of service for information about the security of applications stored on your device.

FBI WEEKEND PRESS RELEASE:

The Special Agent-In-Charge of the Boston Division of the FBI, Richard DesLauriers, and the United States Marshal for the District of Massachusetts, John Gibbons, are releasing the following statement relating to the arrest of James J. Bulger and Catherine Greig:

There have been news reports alleging that the tip that eventually led to the arrest of James J. “Whitey” Bulger was initially given a low priority by the FBI.  Those reports are false.  The FBI Supervisory Special Agent responsible for the Bulger Task Force was the first to review the tip.  He then consulted with other members of the task force.  Together, they recognized that certain information appeared to be credible and promising.  Immediately thereafter, the Boston FBI office requested the Los Angeles FBI office to initiate surveillance at the targeted location.  Hours later, less than 24 hours after the supervisory agent first reviewed the tip, Mr. Bulger and Ms. Greig were arrested.

The FBI  task force that searched for Mr. Bulger was composed of personnel from the United States Marshals Service, Massachusetts Department of Corrections, Massachusetts State Police, and FBI.

Semion Mogilevich

Semion Mogilevich

The FBI is on the hunt for Semion Mogilevich. They say this millionaire allegedly participated in his own multi-million dollar scheme to defraud investors. Mogilevich is charged with more than 40 counts of racketeering, wire fraud, prostitution, money laundering, and is on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted. Agents believe Mogilevich is responsible for dozens of other crimes across the world as well, and is known to be more powerful than John Gotti. Peter Kowenhoven, FBI Supervisory Special Agent says, “He has access to so much including funding, including other criminal organizations, that he can with a telephone call effect the global economy.”

There is a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. We know Russia is Mogilevich’s primary residence, but investigators say he is known to have ties to the United States and England. Mogilevich is also suspected of manipulating international energy markets as well. He was arrested in Russia, but was released on bail. Unfortunately, Russia does not have an extradition treaty with the United States.
