A Chicago area bride was found over the weekend stabbed to death inside a bathtub. According to police, she was still wearing a cocktail dress she had on just hours before at her wedding reception.
Investigators say Estrella Carrera, 26, was last seen walking down the isle then celebrating early Saturday morning. Authorities believe she is a victim of domestic violence.
Family and friends are speaking out to say no one really knew about the wedding and Estrella called friends the day of to invite them to a party. Her body was found on Sunday after she did not show up to pick up her children.
Police say they are investigating her death as a homicide, but no arrests have been made yet. This appears to be an isolated incident. Investigators were seen searching around the apartment complex for evidence, possibly the murder weapon.
