Semion Mogilevich
The FBI is on the hunt for Semion Mogilevich. They say this millionaire allegedly participated in his own multi-million dollar scheme to defraud investors. Mogilevich is charged with more than 40 counts of racketeering, wire fraud, prostitution, money laundering, and is on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted. Agents believe Mogilevich is responsible for dozens of other crimes across the world as well, and is known to be more powerful than John Gotti. Peter Kowenhoven, FBI Supervisory Special Agent says, “He has access to so much including funding, including other criminal organizations, that he can with a telephone call effect the global economy.”
There is a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. We know Russia is Mogilevich’s primary residence, but investigators say he is known to have ties to the United States and England. Mogilevich is also suspected of manipulated international energy markets as well. He was arrested in Russia, but was released on bail. Unfortunately, Russia does not have an extradition treaty with the United States.
HOW DOES THE FBI CHOOSE THEIR TOP TEN?
