Investigators say Amy Ahearn, 40, an English professor in California went missing in August. Orange County sheriff’s detectives say Amy did not show up to teach her semester on Aug. 22 at Saddleback College. She is recently divorced and has no family in California.
In a recent LA Times article, her family says Ahearn may suffer from Huntington’s disease, a degenerative brain condition. Investigators say Amy was last seen alive in September, she rented a sports utility vehicle and used her debit card. That vehicle was found on Sept. 24.
It is possible Amy could be using a different last name, Amy Juntilla. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs about 140 pounds and it is possible she may have lost weight. If you have any information please call Orange County sheriff’s investigators at (714) 647-7055 or (714) 628-7170.

Investigators say Michelle vanished on May 27 from the Kaiser Hayward Medical Center in California. She walked outside to her car, and never came back. Based on evidence found, police fear she is a victim of homicide.
Michael says their mother was a nurse practitioner who passed away in 1999, “We both wanted to make our mom proud, our mom was such a strong woman. She (Michelle) finally got accepted into nursing school in September.” She was living with a roommate as she completed her hours for the accelerated nursing program. Michael says his sister was not seriously dating anyone and as far as he knew, she did not have any enemies. At this point, no one has been named a suspect and police continue to interview friends who may have possible leads. Many searches have taken place, some organized by her family

A tattoo displaying a detailed murder scene led one L.A. County Sheriff detective to the jail cell of the suspect. It is common practice for Investigator Kevin Lloyd to review photos of tattooed gang members and when Anthony Garcia’s chest came across his desk, the scene caught the veteran detectives eye.
Investigator Lloyd made the discovery in 2008 after Garcia’s photo was snapped for a minor traffic violation. Lloyd is familiar with the scene on his skin because it was one of his patrol areas and the cold case was always lingering on his mind. John Jaurez, 23, was gunned down in 2004 and the entire crime scene is mapped out on Garcia’s chest – even down to the Christmas lights hanging outside.
With all the stars aligning and stellar detective work, justice is brought to the table for another innocent victim.
Jose Guadalupe Jimenez (Fullerton police issued photos)
It’s been nine years since a 12-year-old girl was raped in California, and finally police believe they have her alleged clown attacker behind bars. Investigators say Jose Guadalupe Jimenez, 41, is the person responsible for her rape and authorities believe there could be more victims. A DNA match linked Jimenez to the assault.
Jimenez was a professional clown and police are releasing his photo with and without make-up in hopes that other potential victims will recognize him and come forward. He’s been around hundreds of kids over the years using the clown suit to conceal his identity. The rape Jimenez was arrested for over the weekend occured on Jan. 19, 2002 when police say he snatched the victim from a fast food restaurant, drove her to a nearby school, raped her in the parking lot, then drove her to a motel and raped her again. Jimenez was allegedly in full clown make-up at the time of the crime and the victim was able to escape when he went to talk to the motel clerk.
