Madeline Morris has been searching for her missing son for nearly five years. Montgomery County Police say John Morris, 37, went missing from Dickerson, Maryland on July 30, 2007. He was last seen near his home at the 2400 block of White’s Ferry Road standing at the end of the driveway. At the time, John shared his residence with his boyfriend, and police say his vehicle and belongings were left behind when he went missing. In a press release, Montgomery County Police say, “extensive investigative techniques have been used during this multi-year investigation to try to gain information about what may have happened to Morris. No evidence has been developed to confirm whether or not Morris remains alive. The family believes that he would not have stayed away this long without making contact with his family. His family also believes that he would not intentionally have left and abandoned his dog. At this stage of the investigation, foul play is suspected.”
The search to find missing nursing student Holly Bobo, 20, will continues. Investigators say Holly was abducted from her home in Parsons, TN on April 13. Tuesday, Holly’s family released a statement as the reward to find her has grown to $80,000:
“We could never thank everyone enough for all the kindness shown to our family during this difficult time,” the family said in a written statement to the media. “Thanks for your search efforts, donations and especially your prayers for Holly and our family.
“I know everyone’s daily life, routines and work must go on, but ours never will until Holly is back with us. Please continue to pray for Holly’s safe return, keep your eyes and ears open and search your own property. Please pray for Holly’s strength and everyone who is still searching for our precious Holly.”
During the first couple of weeks, hundreds of volunteers from Holly’s community joined forces with police to comb the wooded areas and roadways throughout Parsons and surrounding counties. Some personal items have been recovered, like her lunch bag, but none of the evidence has led to her whereabouts.
Investigators say Kelly Rothwell is a hard working police recruit at the Pinellas Police Academy in St. Petersburg, Fl. She went missing over the weekend and has not been seen. Investigators say Kelly was last seen on Saturday, March 12 around 3:30 p.m. and her 2007 Subaru Outback was located about two miles from her home.
Detectives said they checked Kelly’s home on Sunday when patrol deputies received a call to check the welfare of her at her home. There was a friend who reported concern for Kelly’s safety because of alleged domestic violence issues with Kelly and her boyfriend.
When investigators arrived, both vehicles were gone. Officials say since Kelly began her police academy in November, she has not missed a day and her family said it is not like her to go missing or not be in contact.
According to reports, Kelly’s boyfriend has since been located. He left the state of Florida for New York where he is a retired corrections officer. He is only considered a “person of interest” at this point.
UPDATE:It appears the body of missing college student, Jenni-Lyn was found earlier this evening in North Syracuse. Onondaga County Sheriff investigators have searched the area where she went missing for eight days. Along with a body, authorities say they have also arrested her on-again-off-again boyfriend Steven Pieper, 21. He is currently behind bars and charged with second-degree murder. More to come on this case…
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is back out this morning combing a wooded area in New York, searching for a college student who vanished. Authorities say Jenni-Lyn Watson went missing last Friday, and since then her cell phone has led them to an area in Clay, near Henry Clay Boulevard.
This stretch of land is mainly undeveloped. Experienced searchers have been canvassing the area for Jenni-Lyn. She graduated from Liverpool High School in 2008 and is currently attending Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania where she is studying dance.
Jenni-Lyn is 5-foot, 2-inches tall and weighs only 100 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.
Margo Lynn Jordan is a mother and a grandmother. She was reported missing by her parents on April 24 and hasn’t been seen since. I spoke with Lt. Carl Minden from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. He says Margo was living with her boyfriend and his sister when she disappeared. She showed up for a work program at their jail on April 20 and was last seen by her family four days later.
There is a $10,000 reward put up by her family for information on her case. Lt. Minden says, “We’ve been looking at this for a month now, and the leads are starting to dry up. There’s not a whole lot left to go on right now and we are hoping to get more tips out of it.”
Shawn Isaacs, Margo’s boyfriend, is considered a possible person of interest in this case, but investigators say they are working and exploring other angles as well. “If you decided tomorrow that you don’t want to talk to anybody, there’s nothing I can do about it,” says Minden, but he feels there’s enough suspiciousness surrounding the case suggest something else may have happened to Margo.
Madeline Morris has been searching for her missing son for nearly three years, and recently the case received added attention when a $1,000 reward was announced to help find her son. In a new press release, Montgomery County Police say, “extensive investigative techniques have been used during this multi-year investigation to try to gain information about what may have happened to Morris. No evidence has been developed to confirm whether or not Morris remains alive. The family believes that he would not have stayed away this long without making contact with his family. His family also believes that he would not intentionally have left and abandoned his dog. At this stage of the investigation, foul play is suspected.”
The award to find Kayleah Wilson is up to $20,000. Investigators haven’t given up hope, but there have not been any signs of the missing teen. Dave Joly with the Denver FBI told me two credible witnesses reported seeing Kayleah around 4:15 p.m. on March 28, 2010. That was the last time she was ever seen.
Since then, the FBI has scaled back their efforts and 52 volunteer searchers showed up over the weekend to comb the blocks Kayleah was last seen walking in. Unfortunately, the rain hindered their plans to continue searching.
Early on, Joly says agents did a search of Kayleah’s mother’s home.“We did a forensic search of the house, went into the home with the consent of the homeowner – we collected DNA samples we felt were Kayleah’s and collected DNA samples from everyone in the residence.” Kayleah was walking to a birthday party around 3:40 p.m. when she vanished. Although the walk was fairly short, only 10 blocks, she never made it. Kayleah was missing over Easter weekend, but investigators still gave their heart and soul and worked through the holiday and into the coming weeks.
John Morris was 37-years-old when he went missing from Dickerson, Maryland on July 30, 2007. He was last seen around 11 p.m. near the 240000 block of Whites Ferry Road standing at the end of a driveway he shared with his boyfriend. John is a talented artist who leaves behind a loving family and a network of support from friends. The CUE Center for Missing Persons has joined the search to help find John as well. John’s mother says he has attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and a history of depression. John has a tattoo of a scorpion on his left shoulder and a snake on his right forearm. According to the FINDJOHNMORRIS website, he has a scar on his right calf, and his left ear is pierced.
John’s mother leaves this message on his website, “If you have any idea of what happened to John.
Please be a human being with a conscience and come forward. The truth will set you free. If you were paid or paid someone to hurt John, remember, money won’t buy your way out of the fires of hell. What comes around goes around, if not here, but at your final judgment day. Only you can make things right by coming forward and beg God’s forgiveness.”
It is hard to believe it’s been more than four years since Jennifer Kesse was last seen in Orlando, FL. Police say she didn’t show up for work at Central Florida Investments on January 24, 2006. Early on in this investigation, her family told me that it was unlike her not to call if she was going to be late, or if something came up. Her boyfriend thought it was odd that he had not heard from Jennifer that morning on her way to work, and when he called her office, they said she had neverarrived. Police responded to her condo to find nothing out of the ordinary. Later that afternoon, Jennifer’s friends and family sprung into action by canvassing the area with fliers looking for their loved one.
Just two days after her disappearance, police found Jennifer’s car abandoned in a condominium complex only a mile away from where she lived. It appears from surveillance video seen herethat a suspect parked her car, and walked away. Investigators say there were valuables left inside her vehicle, so they do not feel this is a robbery.
Investigators are putting the pieces together and trying to figure out who would set Paula Sladewski on fire and then throw her in a trash dumpster.
Cops say Paula’s body was “burned beyond recognition” and firefighters were called to put out the flames at a dumpster fire. Her body was identified a few days later through dental records. Paula is originally from Michigan, and in 2003 she appeared in a video for Playboy. At this time, investigators are calling her boyfriend a “person of interest.”
Police know the couple arrived in Miami on New Year’s Eve with friends, they watched Lady GaGa perform, and had plans to say in Miami throughout the weekend. On January 2, 2009, that Saturday night, the couple went to Club Space – until they got into an argument at 7 a.m. Sunday morning and split up. That’s when cops say she was last seen.
