Investigators say Lauren Spierer was last seen at 4:30 a.m. and was in the Bloomington, Indiana area near the corner of 11th Street and College Avenue on June 3. Since then, hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement officials have donated their time to help find the missing student.
On July 4, investigators in Indiana sent out new information about a body they discovered. On Tuesday, the Marion County Corner’s office said the remains are those of an African American woman. Her official cause of death has yet to be determined.
Lauren is a fashion student at Indiana University and was scheduled to start an internship this summer at a Manhattan Anthropologie. She is small, only 4 feet 11 inches tall with blond hair and blue eyes. Lauren was last seen wearing a white v-neck shirt, scooped at the bottom in the back and front, the sleeves fell to her elbow and are described as “bell” or “butterfly.” The shirt may have a “distressed” look. UPDATE: It appears the body of missing college student, Jenni-Lyn was found earlier this evening in North Syracuse. Onondaga County Sheriff investigators have searched the area where she went missing for eight days. Along with a body, authorities say they have also arrested her on-again-off-again boyfriend Steven Pieper, 21. He is currently behind bars and charged with second-degree murder. More to come on this case…

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is back out this morning combing a wooded area in New York, searching for a college student who vanished. Authorities say Jenni-Lyn Watson went missing last Friday, and since then her cell phone has led them to an area in Clay, near Henry Clay Boulevard.
This stretch of land is mainly undeveloped. Experienced searchers have been canvassing the area for Jenni-Lyn. She graduated from Liverpool High School in 2008 and is currently attending Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania where she is studying dance.

- Remembering Theresa Parker
It appears the body of a 9-1-1 dispatcher who was missing for more than three years has been found near the Chattooga River this week. Investigators say a farmer came across the skeletal remains and called police.
Theresa Parker went missing in March 2007, and investigators believed early on that she was murdered at the hands of her own husband. Sam Parker was not only Theresa’s husband, but also a LaFayette, Georgia police officer at the time. Although her body was not found during Sam Parker’s trial, he was found guilty on September 9, 2009 and is currently sentenced to life in prison.
Theresa’s body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death, and her family has peace in knowing that their loved one has been found and they can give her a proper burial.

- Mitrice Richardson MISSING
UPDATE: The remains found in Malibu Canyon Monday have been positively identified as Mitrice Richardson. The official cause of death has not been released… Stay tuned for more on this case.
Mitrice Richardson was only 24-years-old when she disappeared in Malibu, California on September 17, 2009. This beautiful woman is a California State Fullerton graduate, and was set to begin a doctoral program. She was arrested around 10 p.m. the night before she went missing for not paying an $89.00 tab at Geoffrey’s restaurant. Investigators in Malibu released the young woman around 1 a.m. without any identification, money, cell phone or a vehicle to drive. According to the websitedesigned to find Matrice, she does suffer from mental and health issues. There were at least two possible sightings the next morning, but they didn’t pan out. Early on, nearly 300 volunteers turned out to search Malibu canyon for Mitrice, where they covered nearly 18-square-miles. This was the fourth search conducted for her.
Recently, Mitrice may have been spotted in Las Vegas. This is a lead investigators are looking into, but so far this beautiful woman has not been found.
If you have any information about Mitrice, please contact the Los Angeles Police Department, Detective Steven Eguchi: (213) 485-2531

- Norma Lopez MISSING (photo of the shirt she was wearing the day she vanished)
Norma Lopez vanished in broad daylight four days ago in Moreno Valley, California and investigators confirmed yesterday her body was found just a few miles from where she disappeared. Police told me Norma left her summer school classes at the Valley View High School and was supposed to meet her sister, but she never made it to the location. Investigators believe she may have taken a short cut from Dracaea Avenue leading out to an area on Cottonwood Avenue, but somewhere in between authorities believe she may have been kidnapped. In fact, some of her personal belongings were found in a field, and there could be signs of a struggle. Investigators believe she was taken against her will and may have been thrown into a newer model green SUV. That vehicle was seen fleeing from the area at a high rate of speed. Deputy Nieburger told me today that that vehicle may not necessarily be connected to the murder, but there could have been someone driving it that may have seen something. The area where Norma’s body was found is about three miles away from where she went missing, and her remains were in an open field on top of the ground.

Edwinta Hereford (personal photo)
It’s been nearly two weeks since motorists found a body on the side of the 105 Freeway in Los Angeles. Investigators say Edwinta Hereford, 20, was laying naked in the emergency lane, and they believe she may have been thrown from a moving vehicle. Edwinta’s mother is now speaking out and begging anyone with information to come forward.

Remembering Edwinta Hereford
The first 9-1-1 call came in at 5:40 a.m. At first the sheriff’s department did not know Edwinta’s identity. The only thing they were working with initially was a tattoo on her back. According to Edwinta’s Facebook, she was “in a relationship” and enjoyed modeling in her spare time.
An autopsy will determine the official cause of death, but police say it does not appear that she was shot or stabbed.

Remembering Kayleah Wilson
UPDATE
: Police confirm the body found in Colorado is identified as Kayleah Wilson, and she is the victim of a homicide. Police say they do know the cause of death, but will not release that to the public. The area where her body was found had been searched two previous times before and she was submerged in water. Investigators need your tips to help find her killer.
BACKGROUND: The award to find Kayleah Wilson is up to $20,000. Investigators haven’t given up hope, but there have not been any signs of the missing teen. Dave Joly with the Denver FBI told me two credible witnesses reported seeing Kayleah around 4:15 p.m. on March 28, 2010. That was the last time she was ever seen.
Since then, the FBI has scaled back their efforts and 52 volunteer searchers showed up over the weekend to comb the blocks Kayleah was last seen walking in. Unfortunately, the rain hindered their plans to continue searching.
