Investigators say two victims were murdered, tossed into trash bags, and left on a street in Linden, N.J. The bodies were found around 9:49 a.m. yesterday by a sanitation worker and a member of the Linden Police Department. The Union County Prosecutor’s office says they have identified the remains, but are waiting to notify the families. The Medical Examiner hasn’t released the official cause of death, and police are searching for leads.
As soon as I heard about this case, I immediately thought of a missing couple from New Jersey that vanished five years ago. Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone were having drinks and heading back to Mt. Laurel in Richard’s truck. They vanished without a trace. You can learn more about the case at the family’s website. Investigators said in 2008 it appeared the case may have been a “murder for hire, but they haven’t had any additional information since.
If you have any information on the bodies found in Linden, please contact the Union County Crime Stoppers:
(908) 527-4621 – and if you have any information on Danielle Imbo or Richard Petrone please contact: (215) 546-TIPS – There is a $100,000 reward.
