Breeann Rodriguez (family released personal photo)
Investigators say Shawn Morgan, 43, was arrested over the weekend and charged with first degree murder. Authorities believe Morgan suffocated Breeann and disposed of her body. According to the probable cause affidavit, Morgan admits that he discovered Breeann standing on his pool ladder, he carried her inside and suffocated her with a white bag. “Morgan states he felt like it took an hour for the girl to die,” according to the court documents. Once Breeann stopped breathing, Morgan admits he then threw her body into the floodway ditch.
At this point, the search to find Breeann is a recovery effort. Investigators zoned in on Morgan’s home on Friday night and took him into custody Saturday. Along with first degree murder, Dunklin County Prosecutor has also charged Morgan with armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence. Morgan is held without bond and will appear in Circuit Court 9 a.m. Tuesday. The hearing Tuesday will indicate whether he will employ his own council .
Phylicia’s North Carolina high school is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the teen’s whereabouts. She was an honor student at her school before she disappeared in Baltimore while visiting her sister over the holiday.
Phylicia Barnes (missing)
1) Phylicia Barnes, 16, disappeared on the afternoon of Dec. 28 from a Northwest Baltimore apartment.
2) The FBI has joined the case to help find her, and investigators are leaning toward foul play.
3) Authorities focused their search efforts earlier in the week on Leakin Park. Unfortunately, no clues from that search have led them to Phylicia. More than three dozen locations have been searched.
4) Phylicia is from Monroe, N.C., about 25 miles from Charlotte. Her goal was to move to Maryland when she finished with high school.
5) Her family said Phylicia does not have a history of running away, and the last message she sent her sister indicates she may have left to get something to eat.
Investigators confirmed Monday that four women found along the beach on Long Island were prostitutes, and they believe the victims died at the hands of a serial killer. There were many similarities in how the women were murdered and dumped. Authorities said three of the four women booked their clients on line through Craigslist and they are trying figure out which clients they were in contact with days before their murders. One of the victims was reported missing about 3 ½ years ago and another seen alive as early as last fall.
A murder mystery is unfolding on the east coast, and investigators believe a serial killer is at work specifically on Long Island. The question is, are these murders connected to the prostitutes murdered in New Jersey?
I can confirm the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office in Atlantic City is in contact with Suffolk County Police in New York to see if there is a possible link. Both agencies are working four homicides each in their jurisdictions and are carefully piecing together clues.
Investigators in America and Mexico are trying to figure out where the body of American tourist David Hartley could be. Authorities say David was allegedly shot and killed by Mexican Pirates on Lake Falcon when he and his wife Tiffany crossed over into Mexican territory. Tiffany says they were taking pictures and jet skiing together on the water when gunfire erupted and David was shot in the back of the head. Tiffany said she had to make a life or death split second decision after trying to save her husband when she realized he was too heavy to move and load onto her jet ski. Tiffany claims that as she was being fired upon, she had to race as fast as she could back to American waters. At least one identified witness has come forward and claims he saw Tiffany flying through the water on her jet ski as she was being chased by a boat of men.
Tomorrow will mark the six week anniversary since Kyron Horman went missing, and every single day there is a new development. Usually when a child goes missing, within a week or two the case falls out of the spotlight, but this family’s personal and bizarre life has kept this case alive and the public wanting more. Over the last couple of days investigators in Portland have been seen searching on the ground for clues and re-interviewing witnesses at the school from where the 7-year-old went missing. Desiree Young, Kyron’s mother, spoke out and said she thinks her son’s disappearance was planned and executed by his step-mother Terri Moulton-Horman.
Police in Sacramento, California are reaching out to the public for help. Over the weekend, Tatiyanna Conrad, 13, went missing around 2 p.m. on Saturday. Her mother reported her missing to authorities late Saturday night. Police say they are concerned because Tatiyanna does not have a history of running away. Sometimes she is known to walk up to the Raley’s shopping center on Folsom Boulevard, but that is about as far as she travels from her apartment complex on Occidental Drive.
School began this morning, and Tatiyanna is nowhere to be found. She is on the taller side, about 5’7”, weighs about 130 pounds, and waslast seen wearing a black shirt with gold writing that says, “This is my shirt.”

Police in Xenia, Ohio are still searching for Tiffany Tehan who vanished over the weekend. Yesterday, investigators released surveillance video photos of a mystery man with Tiffany two weeks ago. That man has been identified as Tre B. Hutcherson, 42, who authorities say has also been missing for days.
Captain Scott Anger, of the Xenia Police, told me Tiffany’s family does not know who Tre B. Hutcherson is, and they have never met him. Police say Hutcherson is known to drive a red Volkswagen Beetle, and sometimes a German Shepherd will travel with him in the front seat.
Police say Tiffany was supposed to attend a cookout around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 with her husband and friends. Tiffany’s husband, David Tehan, called police around 9 p.m. when she didn’t come home. Police say Tiffany left her home early Saturday morning to attend garage sales, and was expected to return around 2 p.m. Tiffany was last seen at The Greene Shopping Center in Beavercreek around 11 a.m., and her Ford Explorer was found early Sunday morning at a state park off Stroop Road in Xenia. The vehicle had a flat tire, and her keys were locked inside. Tiffany’s dad, Chuck Tabor, told me, “This is one giant jigsaw puzzle, and every piece, every little piece
Investigators say last summer Lindsey Baum left her friend’s house to walk home, but she never made it there. Lindsey was only four blocks away just after 9 p.m. when she vanished on June 26, 2009. Authorities say they have received hundreds of leads, and have conducted searches, but sadly nothing has turned up. Just this week, the FBI announced they are adding to the reward to help find Lindsey which. That reward is now $20,000 and a new search effort is being planned.
Lindsey was 10-years-old at the time she went missing, since then she’s had a birthday, a new school year started, and the holidays have come and gone without her family having any answers. This beautiful child was last seen wearing a gray or blue hooded pullover shirt and blue jeans. Let’s try to bring Lindsey home. Great news to report as we launch into the weekend. Investigators say Brett Smith who has been missing since Monday, was found alive a short time ago. The Aiken County Sheriff’s office said Brett was walking down the side of the road when he was spotted. We don’t know where Brett has been for the last five days, or how he got to that part of town, but investigators are working to put the pieces together. I spoke with Investigator Mack earlier this week from Richland County, and she told me Brett went missing earlier this week when he was riding his bike in the Magnolia Hall neighborhood. His bicycle was found at a nearby McDonald’s, but there was no trace of the 12-year-old. An Amber Alert was not issued at the time because it did not meet state requirements, but investigators all along have treated his case with care and importance. Great work to all who helped find this child.
