Investigators have issued a warrant for a man they believe has been slashing women since February.  Fairfax County Police say Johnny Guillen Pimentel, 40, has targeted at least nine women all in their early 20s.  The victims were slashed with a box cutter or razor and none were seriously injured.  For many months police have issued surveillance photos, hoping someone would recognize the suspect.  

Investigators have not been able to establish a motive.  Investigators believe Pimentel is traveling in a 2003 Honda Civic, VA tags KLX2689.

A disturbing case continues to be on the hearts and minds of parents in Phoenix, Arizona. The FBI is on the hunt for a pediatrician who is accused of distributing child pornography. Dr. Emilio Luna, 40, was arrested in September when a federal grand jury brought down a five-count indictment against him.

According to the FBI’s website, “Dr. Luna, a Phoenix pediatrician, came to the attention of law enforcement when thousands of files from suspected child pornography were shared from his computer in a public peer-to-peer file sharing system. He was arrested on Wednesday, September 1 by federal agents. Following a detention hearing a few days later, he was released by order of the court, and is forbidden to have access to the Internet or children while under supervision of U.S. Pre-Trial Services.”

A few weeks after he was arrested agents say Luna cut off his ankle monitoring device and fled. He had permission to attend church services, and his car was found later that night abandoned in a Glendale, Arizona parking lot.

According to the FBI, a conviction for distributing child pornography carries a mandatory minimum of five years and a maximum of 20.

Joan Jackson, head of Luna’s condo association told me, “The whole family, very nice, well spoken, I can’t say anything bad about any of them other than he screwed up.” Jackson added that they (FBI) came into the complex in Sun City, Arizona around 6:30 a.m. with guns drawn. She said about 20 agents total were inside the unit where he resides, and they did not leave the property until close to 10 a.m.

Jackson says she has chatted with Luna briefly in the past and he and his family are very kind. Luna purchased the condo for his elderly parents who do not speak English. He has other siblings who visit as well, and when Jackson spoke with one of his sisters on Sunday, she told Jackson that Luna’s mother is not doing very well and is upset about this entire situation.

According to a report, Luna was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and could be hiding out in Mexico. He has also lived or worked in various areas of the United States including Texas, Illinois and California.

The FBI is now offering a $20,000 reward in this case. He may wear glasses or contact lenses and speaks fluent Spanish.

*Not long after the FBI announced a billboard campaign to capture Charles Alan Dyer, he was captured…

The FBI is on the hunt for a man who allegedly raped a 7-year-old girl.  Now, digital billboards are launched from Oklahoma to Virginia to find Charles Alan Dyer.  Agents say Dyer, a former Marine, did not show up for his court date Monday Aug. 15.  The FBI says they obtained a UFAP warrant on August 17, 2011 and they have information to believe Dyer was last seen in the Houston, TX area.   

Dyer is allegedly part of a right wing group called the Oath Keepers made up of current and former military and law enforcement personnel.  The goal is to disobey the president and obey the constitution.  It’s possible he is using his contacts through this network to hide out and to get from place-to-place.

Currently, digital billboards are visible in 12 states across the U.S. including, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas, North Caolina and South Carolina.

The FBI says Dyer is considered armed and dangerous and is known to have numerous weapons.  He stands from 5’10” – 6’0” and weighs about 175 to 200 pounds.  His hair is brown in color and it is most likely shaved.  He may have grown a beard and lost weight.  If you have any information, please contact the FBI.

Semion Mogilevich

The FBI is on the hunt forSemion Mogilevich. They say this millionaire allegedly participated in his own multi-million dollar scheme to defraud investors. Mogilevich is charged with more than 40 counts of racketeering, wire fraud, prostitution, money laundering, and is on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted. Agents believe Mogilevich is responsible for dozens of other crimes across the world as well, and is known to be more powerful than John Gotti. Peter Kowenhoven, FBI Supervisory Special Agent says, “He has access to so much including funding, including other criminal organizations, that he can with a telephone call effect the global economy.”

The manhunt is on to find Beacher Ferrel Hackney, an accused murderer on the run since 2009.  Hackney is now featured as a U.S. Marshal Top 15 Most Wanted. 

On March 21, 2009, investigators say Hackney was working as a janitor at the Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA when he killed his co-workers.  He was upset with his supervisors, Dwight Kerr and Ronnie Stinnett for putting him on the busy dinner shift.  Investigators believe he was more comfortable and happier working the night shift.

U.S. Marshals say Hackney was told by a supervisor to find something to do instead of standing around with his hands in his pockets, and that’s when he allegedly began shooting Dwight.  The victim ran out after Hackney before allegedly opening fire on Stinnnett.

Hackeny was caught on surveillance calmly leaving with the gun in his hand.  He is known to be a loaner and a neat freak with few material possessions.  Investigators believe he could live in austere conditions.  Hackeny is on the shorter side, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds.  He has brown eyes, grey hair and was last seen missing seven lower teeth.  He is skilled when it comes to the outdoors and is known to make his own fishing and hunting equipment.

The U.S. Marshals say Hackney is considered armed and dangerous. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading directly to Hackney’s arrest.

FBI WEEKEND PRESS RELEASE:

The Special Agent-In-Charge of the Boston Division of the FBI, Richard DesLauriers, and the United States Marshal for the District of Massachusetts, John Gibbons, are releasing the following statement relating to the arrest of James J. Bulger and Catherine Greig:

There have been news reports alleging that the tip that eventually led to the arrest of James J. “Whitey” Bulger was initially given a low priority by the FBI.  Those reports are false.  The FBI Supervisory Special Agent responsible for the Bulger Task Force was the first to review the tip.  He then consulted with other members of the task force.  Together, they recognized that certain information appeared to be credible and promising.  Immediately thereafter, the Boston FBI office requested the Los Angeles FBI office to initiate surveillance at the targeted location.  Hours later, less than 24 hours after the supervisory agent first reviewed the tip, Mr. Bulger and Ms. Greig were arrested.

The FBI  task force that searched for Mr. Bulger was composed of personnel from the United States Marshals Service, Massachusetts Department of Corrections, Massachusetts State Police, and FBI.

ARREST: After a large publicity push last week, FBI Agents in Boston says a tipster came forward with information that led to the arrest of Whitey Bulger and his longtime girlfriend, Cahterine Greig. Both were taken down late Wednesday in Santa Monica, CA.  Bulger and Greig were extradited to Boston, MA on Friday and appeared in Federal Court.

BACKGROUND: PSA’s will launch Tuesday in 14 select cities where Bulger and Greig are known to have ties. The goal of the PSA is to release information about Greig and to hopefully engage a neighbor, hair-stylist, doctor, dentist or friend who may have information.

Supervisory Special Agent Richard Teahan, Bulger Boston Taskforce leader says, “We’re taking the next logical step and focusing on Greig as part of a unique initiative.” Teahan goes on to say that Greig has certain characteristics that are recognizable.

The FBI released a list below:

• She loves dogs and all kinds of animals.
• She is likely to have well-kept teeth because she previously worked as a dental hygienist.
• She likes to frequent beauty salons.
• Prior to her fleeing with Bulger, she had multiple plastic surgeries.
• Greig has blue eyes, stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and had a thin build
• She has used the aliases: Helen Marshal and Carol Shapeton
• Last known sighting was in 2002 in London

The FBI is offering a $100,000 for information leading to Greig and a $2 million reward for information leading to Bulger — the highest reward the FBI has ever offered for a Top Ten fugitive.

Laffer’s wife, Melinda Brady, 29, of the same address, was arrested for Robbery 3rd degree for her involvement in the robbery and is also being charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration. She will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow, June 23, at First District Court in Central Islip.

Suffolk County Police say a suspect is still on the run for a horrific pharmacy shooting that took the lives of four innocent people on Father’s Day.  When officers arrived at the Haven Pharmacy on Southaven Avenue around 10:20 a.m., they found the bodies of Jennifer Mejia, 17, and Raymond Ferguson, 45, both employees, and customers Jamie Tacetta, 33, and Byron Sheffield, 71.  All four victims were shot dead.

The suspect, described as a white male, allegedly fled the store after the execution-style shootings with prescription drugs in hand.  Luckily there are many surveillance photos authorities are sharing, but unfortunately, the suspect has not been identified.

The gunman is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, who had a dark beard and mustache, and short, dark hair.  The suspect was wearing sunglasses, sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark shoes and was carrying a black backpack.  He was last seen fleeing on foot, heading toward Southaven Avenue.
