 KHADIJAH SOLIMAN MISSING

This case reminds me of the Sean Goldman case mainly because Khadijah is from New Jersey and investigators think her mother took the child to Brazil.

Background on Sean Goldman:  Sean’s case touched the hearts of people across the world.  The child was abducted by his mother five years ago from their state in New Jersey and taken to Brazil.  Sean’s father, David Goldman, fought to see his son, and to bring him back to his home for years.  Sean’s mother died in child birth, and David was left to fight his child’s step-father and ex-wife’s family to gain custody of his own son, they wanted to keep the child in Brazil with them (when he shouldn’t have been there in the first place).  It was traumatic to say the least and heartbreaking for what David Goldman was put through.  I personally feel the family of David’s ex-wife should face some sort of punishment through the justice system for what they did to destroy this family, and leave a father without his son for so long through alienation. Although there was a long, horrendous custody battle, on Christmas Eve (just a few weeks ago), Sean was finally reunited with David, and was able to come home to New Jersey where he is now attending school, and trying to live a normal American life.

On the heels of the Goldman story, I bring you another child who investigators say is a victim of a parental abudction from New Jersey.  The child’s mother may have brought her Brazil to hide out from her American family, and specifically her father.  Khadijah Soliman is believed to have been taken by her mother in Weehawken, New Jersey on March 7, 2009.  According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, Khadijah’s father, “applied for the return of the child under the international civil treaty:  The Hauge Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.”

She hasn’t been seen since, and her father has parental rights to this child.  Please call:  1-800-THE-LOST with any information.

After watching David Goldman for the last 5 years as he tried to bring his son home; I’m surprised all parental kidnappers aren’t fleeing to Brazil. For authorities in another country to stand in the way and allow the mother, then the step father to obstruct a biological father from his son – is a travesty. David should be entitled to restitution for every dime he spent trying to bring Sean home and both should be given restitution for the time they were deprived of having a normal relationship. Those 5 years can’t be replaced
